Mr. Howard began his musical journey at age five, studying piano under Esther Ko at Yamaha Music Studio. He completed Level 8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and the Advanced Panel Level of the MTAC Certificate of Merit. During middle and high school, he actively participated in orchestra, playing both violin and piano.

Mr. Howard is currently a private student of Dr. Andrew Park and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from UC Irvine, where he studied under Dr. Lorna Griffitt. He has performed at Carnegie Hall and won numerous awards in piano competitions across Southern California, including the International Grand Concours and Elite International Music Competitions.

In 2023, he attended the Orfeo International Music Festival in Italy and will participate in the Montecito International Music Festival in 2024. He is currently pursuing a Master's in Piano Perofmrnace at USC under Bernadene Blaha.

 

Passionate about teaching, Mr. Howard is committed to guiding students of all levels, balancing flexibility with firm guidance to foster growth. Outside of teaching, he enjoys exploring music genres, watching movies, and playing tennis.
