Mr. Ivan is an educator and multi-instrumentalist who graduated Cum Laude from the University of Southern California with a BA in Music and a minor in Music Production. As a full-scholarship recipient, he developed a teaching approach rooted in clear communication and leadership. He is experienced in managing student relationships and focuses on delivering organized, detail-oriented instruction to help musicians reach their specific goals.

Currently, Mr. Ivan serves as the Director of Small Ensembles for the Downey Unified School District. In this role, he leads group music theory lessons and private guitar workshops, with a curriculum focused on improvisation, composition, music notation, and recording. He has direct experience preparing student ensembles for national music competitions, guiding them through the technical and performance requirements necessary for high-level placement.

Beyond his work in the classroom, Mr. Ivan is an active freelance musician and producer with a background in classical, jazz, pop, rock, R&B, and Latin styles. Since 2019, he has performed as a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist on guitar, bass, and keyboards across the United States. He brings technical expertise in Logic Pro and ProTools to WePlay Music, allowing him to combine traditional music education with modern recording and production techniques.
