Ms. Joyce is a dedicated music educator with over 15 years of teaching experience, specializing in piano instruction for young learners in both private and group lesson settings. She holds a Master of Arts in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the University of California, Berkeley.

Known for her warm, creative, and student-centered teaching style, Ms. Joyce is especially passionate about teaching beginners. She believes early music education plays an important role in helping children develop coordination, focus, kinesthetic awareness, and a genuine appreciation for music. Her lessons are designed to make learning both effective and enjoyable, while helping students build strong foundations in note reading, rhythm, ear training, technique, and basic theory.

With extensive experience teaching children of varying ages and ability levels, Ms. Joyce emphasizes encouragement, consistency, and individualized support. She is dedicated to cultivating each child’s potential and encouraging students to do their very best in a positive and nurturing environment. She also enjoys playing duets with her students, creating meaningful musical connections that make lessons both rewarding and fun. Fluent in Mandarin, she brings a thoughtful and welcoming approach to every lesson.
