Mr. Paul is a versatile pianist, composer, and music educator who completed his Master of Music in Piano Performance at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) in Spring 2017. As an active collaborator within the CSULB community, he served as a ballet accompanist for the Dance Department—incorporating both classical repertoire and live improvisation—and accompanied the University’s Women’s Choir, while also supporting fellow music majors as a graduate academic assistant. His primary instructors include Craig Richey, Dr. Shun-Lin Chou, Dr. Diane Snodgrass, and Mary Barranger.

As a performer, Mr. Paul has appeared as a featured soloist with the CSULB Orchestra and accompanied numerous musicians in chamber music settings. His performance repertoire highlights fantasy works by composers including Bach, Mozart, Schumann, and Corigliano. Complementing his stage work, his music theory research introduces an innovative analysis of timbral elements in John Corigliano’s Etude Fantasy. As a composer, Mr. Paul crafts original works that draw from a rich classical foundation while integrating diverse contemporary styles.
